Copy-and-paste prompt
This prompt works with any AI assistant that can review your website project or the information you share with it. That includes Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and the assistants built into Lovable, Bolt and Replit.
What to give the assistant: Replace each bracketed field with information from your own website. If the assistant can inspect the project directly, give it access to the correct folder or repository as well.
Ask for the report first. Approve individual changes only after the assistant has shown you where it found each issue and you understand the proposed fix.
Create an SEO content brief for one proposed page. Do not write the final article.
Business: [DESCRIBE THE BUSINESS]
Audience: [DESCRIBE THE AUDIENCE]
Proposed topic or query: [TOPIC]
Relevant products or services: [OFFER]
Existing related URLs: [URLS]
Available first-hand evidence: [EXPERIENCE, DATA, EXAMPLES OR NONE]
Produce:
1. The likely search intent and the specific question this page should answer.
2. Whether the page should exist separately or be combined with an existing page, with reasons.
3. A recommended URL, working title, meta description and one H1.
4. A concise heading outline that avoids padding and repetition.
5. Questions requiring first-hand expertise, evidence or examples before drafting.
6. Useful internal links into and out of the page.
7. Claims that must not be invented.
8. A clear conversion action appropriate to the reader's stage.
9. What would make the page meaningfully better than a generic AI answer.
Flag assumptions and information gaps. Do not fabricate keyword volumes, competitors, quotes, statistics or experience. When to use it
- Before creating any commercially important page.
- Before commissioning or generating an article.
- When deciding whether a new keyword deserves a separate URL.
What it checks
- Search intent and page purpose
- Cannibalisation risk
- Evidence requirements
- Page structure and internal links
- Conversion relevance
What it cannot prove
An AI assistant can inspect supplied code and information, but it should not be treated as independent evidence that Google can crawl, index or rank the website.
- It cannot provide reliable search volumes without a connected data source.
- It should not be allowed to invent expertise or examples.
- A brief still needs an informed person to supply genuine business insight.
Worked example
This is an illustrative scenario rather than a client result.
A consultancy wants pages for three similar phrases. The prompt concludes that two share the same intent and belong on one strong service page, while the third deserves a separate implementation guide.
Verify the result
After using the prompt, check every approved change on the published website. Save the original report and the final verification so you can see what actually changed.
Book a site review and we will check the live pages for you, or send us a message if you would like to describe the problem first. You can also browse the rest of the resources hub.
